Our Children’s Services teams have a strong desire and commitment to continually improve practice and work in a way that really helps children, young people, and their families. We are routed in analysing data and intelligence to help inform our practice. We take a trauma informed approach to our work with children and their families, and we endeavor to see each person as an individual and take account of their lived experiences. The help and protection of children in our borough is a priority for the Council. We have continued to focus on practice quality and workforce development, and in April 2019 we were judged as one of the best Children's Services in the country by Ofsted, including ‘Outstanding ‘in leadership and management.
The Commissioning and Contracts service sits within the Health and Wellbeing Directorate and encompasses Adult Social Care, Children’s Social Care and Public Health. Our teams have a strong desire and commitment to continually improve services and positively impact on the lives and wellbeing of our residents. We have an ambitious work program that is key to the transformation and modernisation of our services. West Cheshire has a strong commitment to achieve co-production and embed a strengths and assets based approach to how we develop our strategies, commissioning intentions and in our engagement with residents, partners and service providers.
As a Council we have a strong stable corporate leadership team and this is replicated in our Children Services Senior and Operational Management Teams, we have a positive and productive relationship with Education, Adults’, and Public Health services colleagues. Our Childrens social care teams are collocated with the multi professional Early Help teams to ensure we have a culture of prevention at every level.
